KIMBERLY-CLARK CORPORATION 401(K) & PROFIT SHARING PLAN

The Kimberly-Clark Corporation 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan is a roughly $5 billion plan covering about 17,000 participants, with Fidelity Investments Institutional Operations Company serving as recordkeeper and Northern Trust Corporation as trustee. The investment menu is built primarily around low-cost BlackRock collective investment trusts, including the LifePath Index target-date series, Russell 1000 Value, Russell 1000 Growth, Russell 1000 Index, Russell 2000 Index, MSCI ACWI ex-US IMI Index, and a US Debt Index fund, supplemented by an Ameriprise-managed stable value lineup and a Kimberly-Clark company stock fund. In December 2024, Kimberly-Clark agreed to a $2.25 million settlement in Seidner v. Kimberly-Clark Corp. (N.D. Tex.), an ERISA class action alleging excessive recordkeeping fees of approximately $78 per participant compared to roughly $30 per participant at comparable plans; final approval was scheduled for July 2025.

Why our allocations use only index funds

The actively managed funds in this plan cost more per year than the plan's index funds, which run roughly 0.02% to 0.06%. Decades of research on long-term active fund performance do not support reliable outperformance net of fees, which is why the allocation ideas below may consider using only the low-cost index options.
